'RACING' In The SNOW?

Due to Sunday's 'Snow Down' and our trip to Brands being cancelled, we (myself, kids, dog and

im in doors) decided we'd hold our own race day !!!

With a collection of items from the garage : heavey duty compost bag, traditional sledge, Grandma (clerk of the course)Honda Hawk belly pan, an industrial sized baking tray, stopwatch, 2 very newly moved in neighbours (marshalls) and the bonnet off a Mini Sprite. - There was no stopping us.

Anyone else utilise the day with similar event ?

First to guess winning object gets the 10 points.

I know it's the 'Motorcycle Racing' section - I

honestly tried but just couldn't find the 'Sledging' one !!(lol) - x*x - 'you know who you are' - x*x -

  1. i think the baking tray won or the bonnet,

your avatar is rather unfortunate btw. naked bum on motor cycle is not appealing, aesthetically it doesnt go together.

  2. We were up there sat&sun, great to see shakey with a good ride, duke sounded awesome, we got a print of j macs 130 mph lap of iom 07, managed to get shakeys autograph, photo done with james haydon, on sat, sun hangin around for announcement to cancel, had some photos done on paddock on the track, me and mate always have plan A&B, A was bsb, B was get pi...ed, glad you enjoyed yourself, we did. Compost bag won

  3. I'm going with the Heavy Duty Compost Bag. it sounds like an outsider, like my young star Scott Redding.

And I disagree totally with Pickles, you look very comfortable wrapped around that machine.

The Bellypan makes it a motorcycle racing Question !!!

  4. I will go with the belly  pan as the auspicious winner of the race.

Sounds like you had fun and I found the use of granny amusing as my mum has actually done flag duty at several National events and has the nickname Motocross Nanny.

  5. Hey GR

it's gotta be the compost bag - having chucked myself (and others) down many snowy slopes on many daft things - though not tried a belly pan yet - I know the virtues of having a bin bag stuffed in your pocket when there's snow lying, and you may be a bit too pissed to walk back to the chalet!

At least you got to see the WSBK's !

  6. I'm going to go with the heavy duty compost bag, it must be a clear favourite.

Bad luck with brands hatch, but it sounds like you had a great day anyway.

You wouldn't be talking about w......... would you, lets not change him.

  7. Good for you, absolutely brilliant! Too few families do things like that nowadays. It was probably more fun that standing around at Brands hatch shivering and I expect the kids will remember it more that a day at the racing. My kids are grown up with kids of their own so I just looked at the snow from inside the house while busy stripping wallpaper (no, I didn't have as much fun as you did)

Who won? Which object won? Who really cares? You had a great time with the family, that's all that matters.

... did you film it for posterity? I'm sure it would be much more entertaining than some of the "entertainment" on TV.

  8. Sounds like you had a better day at home then you might have had at Brands !!!

The only problem I have with the question is ............ WHERE WAS MY INVITE ? !!!
