  1. never been there

  2. I have been there before and its execellent! Its expensive but pretty worth it to me. I would recommend going there especially for a special occcaison...The time i did go was for my sisters 16th b-day party...my family took her there and it was great. Even if you dont wanna spend too much money but still wanna have a good nite out, I would suggest just getting the desserts, but if you do go there it takes  alot of time.....like when I went it took us about 2 hours before we were done! But its a great restraunt and I recommend trying it out!

  3. The Melting Pot is a great restaurant, and can be a lot of fun, especially in larger groups.  Your right though, it is really expensive.  If you want to try it out though, I would suggest going there for dessert after a night out.  While it is still expensive, it is a great way to end a night and their desserts are amazing (and this is coming from someone who doesn't even like chocolate).

  4. I'm not a big fan of The Melting Pot. I guess it's because I work in fine dining. We intended on doing 3 courses but only made it halfway though the 2nd. You get ALOT of food but the downside is... YOU COOK YOUR OWN FOOD! I thinks it's great for a group of 4 or more people and only cheese or chocolate. The entrée selections suck @rse. You're there for a while boiling or frying meat & you're paying to do this. It seems so dumb.

Seriously, save yourself some grief and go either for a cheese course or a dessert course (either before or after a movie.)

  5. Oh my god i love the Melting Pot! It is amazing. I am obsessed with it. I've only been there twice because yes it is expensive. But it's the only fondue restaurant i know of, and that makes it special and unique, so it's worth the money since they give you a different dining experience than most restaurants would. I would save it for a special occasion like a birthday or something though. Unless you just feel like splurging : )

Try the spinach cheese fondue, it's delicious! And the chocolate raspberry fondue is great too.

Also, another option might be to just go for dessert and drinks, like if you are most interested in the chocolate fondue.

  6. I have been there a few times and think it is fun!  The ambiance is nice. I would not suggest making a habit of going there because you are right it is pretty pricey!  Good for a special occasion or a date.  I went for a girls night out and it was pretty fun!  If you like melted chocolate you will LOVE the desserts.

  7. The Melting Pot is awesome. My family took me for my birthday last year....stellar food. I took my daughter for her 20th this year, she loved it too.

Although it is kind of pricey, for a couple its a nice night out. They have some sampler combos where you get four courses for about $90 for a couple (and that includes dessert!!). Plus drinks, tip. Oh, and they have a stellar wine list. Its awesome for special occasions, but the cost would prohibit going too often.

You have to do it at least once! Have fun and bon appetit!

  8. I like it, it's great for couples! V. romantic

  9. I love the food at the Melting Pot, but agree that it is very expensive. What I usually do is go just for a cheese and dessert course and skip the meat altogether. The meat isn't bad, but I think it's overpriced.

Going for just cheese and dessert fondue actually fills you up since you're eating slowly. It's a good way to keep the prices a little lower and avoid overeating.
