'There is no bad student only bad teacher'-Japanese saying. Right?

If your teacher isn't able to cope up and guide you, is it because times are changing and the teacher has not upgraded? The writing has been always on the wall, that times will change.

It's not that every student requires guidance all the time. Look at Bill Gates. The student has a choice to try a different approach to try and achieve success.

Its not that the teacher does not wish to tell the student more than what is to be taught. The job is defined.

Hence:

Is the teacher always bad?

Will changing teachers solve the problem?

  1. Why to blame the teacher if you are not doing anything.

  2. this statement is just blaming teachers only: its both ways, teacher willing to teach and student willing to learn

  3. I absolutely disagree.  That's backwards.

The only teacher we really have is ourselves. So I would word it, "There are no bad teachers, just bad students."

Bill Gates' success is not due to his teachers!  Look at any very successful person.  You'll find, except possibly for rare occurrences, it wasn't the teachers that were the magic ingredient.

When you ask "Will changing teachers solve the problem?" the implication is that the direction of study and its quality is up to the student.

Granted, a knowledgeable and inspiring teacher can be very beneficial.  But in the end, it's up  to the student to choose and to do what is necessary to learn what he wants.

  4. the saying is right..but to concentrate on every student is not a easy job. if u want to be a good student YOU need to have a good teacher.who is your teacher alone

  5. Bull!  It's not the teachers fault if the student doesn't want to learn.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.  That's why so many students slide through the system.  They take the ones that want to learn put them in a class.  The ones that want to **** up in the other.  I know.  I've been to them schools.

    Sad but true.

  6. I agree with you! Each student If dealt with in a certain way, would do well! A teacher has to be understading, Rather than expecting the child to cope up in aparticular way!
