I have already had experience with a 200cc china dirt bike and I have my own track in my backyard. I prefer a 2 stroke instead of a 4 stroke. I was thinking about getting a cr250 or a KTM 250sx, but not sure. I want a bike that is reliable and doesn't have parts falling off all the time like my china bike. I plan on doing some trail riding also and won't be taking too many jumps.

  1. get a ttr250 4 stroke

  2. You should get a Yamaha or Suzuki.

  3. im the exact same size as you, what a quincidence

  4. Stick with Yamaha or Honda and you will be happy on any bike.

  5. Don't know why you would want a 2 stroke, but if that's your fancy the YZ250 is by far the best all around 250 2 stroke on the market.

  6. 2 strokes are easy to keep up,get the KTM , but you should look into the 4 stroke {this coming from a 2 stroke rider}.trail riding is not as easy on 2 strokes, they want to wrung out, not cruised around, but go for what you want and what makes you happy, have no matter what you get.

  7. I think that for trail riding you would do better with a 4 stroke.  The crf250r is a good bike and would suit your height and weight well.

You are wise to steer away from the chinese bikes as they are really only for riding once then they fall apart and you need to replace them.  It works out a bit expensive that way.
