39w/2d....is this labor??

Question

I have had back pain on and off all day with some mild period like cramps that have gotten worse little by little also an increase in discharge and I feel kinda sick to my stomach! I know it doesnt determine labor or anything but my doctor said yesterday I was only 1 centimeter dilated. This is my first so...I dunno what to do! I wanna go to the hospital but everyone tells me I should try and hold off cause I wont be walking around and that speeds things up.

Is it time to go or could I wait I a little while longer??

If your having labor pains, every five mins, Yes that is labor, but if you have them once a day and then dont have it for the following days, its not. But since your dilated 1 centimer already, this may be it.

wait until your contractions are a couple minutes apart

If you feel you need to go to the hospital and get checked then go!  I had my dr. check me because I felt like c**p and guess what I was 8/9 cm without feeling any pain.  Every woman is different.  Even if its a false alarm at least see what they say.  Good luck hun!

Trust me when labor hits you'll know you may be in the early stages so just try to relax and keep track of the pain to see if it's coming regular. It's hard to confuse real contraction for anything else.

if your in alot of pain and your contractions r really close together i would go to the hospital.. if not wait it out sounds to me your in early labor but it could def. take a long time! Good Luck!!
