3D Ultrasound Images, when is the best week to go? any one have experiences they would like to tell me about?

I have a 3D ultrasound booked for Sept. 6th I will be 23 weeks at that time, I was just wondering for other parents out there who have experienced the 3D ultrasound what you thought of the pictures you got and at which week did you go? Thanks alot!

I went at exactly 20 weeks and the lady announced that she knew what it was literally 1 second after putting the paddle on my belly.  She then let us look ourselves to try and guess.  She said sometimes it's hard because of posititioning but he was there with his legs wide apart with his arms behind his head...as relaxed as could be!  A friend couldn't tell the first time so they tried a few things to make her move but it didn't work so they brought her in a few days later (free of charge that time) to try again and to get clearer pictures.  I personally, didn't want to see the face.  We only paid for gender determination. I had this thing where I wanted to see him for the first time at delivery.  She asked if we wanted a little peek and I said ok but freaked and turned away at the last second but my husband got a good look.  

With my friend, the pics she got looked alot like the baby when she was born (she was born 7 wks early so the pics were somewhat recent).

I went to my 3d/4d ultrasound at 27 weeks and the pictures turned out beautifully! I think your pictures will turn out good. Drink lots and lots and lots of water, the pictures turn out so much better if you are well hydrated! i think 23 weeks is about the time when they start turning out really good. I know how exciting it could be! Good luck!
