3D design software,no animation, merely want rotate curved images,anything free? mages?

Question

I merely want to enter some info on simple program- no computer whiz. Is there anything out there where I can fairly easily add simple criterion,create some compound curves and then have it rotate to see what it would look like in real life 3d? I am totally ignorant of the possibilities. I have an iMac a few months now. Am I better off doodling something on graph paper?

Blender is best and free. You can easily use this software for 3D Design. You can download from http://www.blender.org

I am using it.  You have to learn you own by hits and trial. There are lots tutorials available. If you want to learn from me, 1st see my Blender work.
