3GB 5.6 score vs. 2GB 5.8 score in vista 32bit what is better?

2x1gb + 2x512mb 3.0GB = 5.6

2x1gb 2.0GB = 5.8

What would be best for multi-tasking and gaming in vista x86?

  1. odd as long as they are in pairs the more the better


  2. You wont really notice much differents, but the 3GB will allow more smooth multi-tasking  

  3. the one with the more ram.  The score has nothing to do with ram.  It's just the bottle neck of the system.  If your graphics card is the worst part of the system, then however the graphics card is, the rating of that graphics card will be the rating of the computer.  

  4. Your 2 1GB's are running in Dual Chanel mode, which means they are acting like one module.

    So technically your 2x1gb becomes on 2gb when used by itself, but when you add the 2x512, it changes back to 2x1gb.

    Having one module is always faster than two since data doesn't need to travel as far with one.
