3c031 is it as good as they say?

Basically I've been researching it and hoping its as good as they say. Basically i get a 9-5 job M-F vacation days off. And do my job most of the time in a/c. Any other things i need to know about that?

3C0 is a decent job yes, but I wouldn't get all hung up in the M-F 9-5 things. Some shops work different hours or 12 hour shifts.

Depending on what unit you get sent to after Tech School depends greatly on how much you'll deploy and what you'll work.

There are Combat Communications units, ASOS units (work directly with the Army), and fixed units as well.

Don't forget you'll always have deployments and you'll always have TDY's. Each of these have different expectations and requirements.

I'm in a combat comm unit and while deployed our guys worked 6 days a week, 12 hour shifts either morning or evening. Just depends.
