  1. There is free 3D modelling and animation software - this is the most popular: http://www.blender.org/

However, if you can't download it, I'm afraid you're stuck. Nothing as complex as a 3D animation package can be run in a web browser. They are also complex enough that it will take time and dedication to learn how to use one and an instructor is recommended, particularly if you want to rig the character for animation - if you are very keen on learning 3D software, the suggestion by the user above that you take a short course to learn the basics is a good one.

    Good luck. :)

  2. There may not be any FREE software for 3D Animation. But you can go to www.3dtraining.com and take a 4 week online beginner course on 3D Animation.  I'm signing up this fall myself. Once you sign-up you can buy the software at a student discount.  It would be ideal to take a beginner course since the software is fairly complex to use.

  3. Blender is Best and free and available in all major OS.
