I have seen small (2" or 3") gift boxes made like that on the Oriental Trading Company website.  I'm certain that if you bought one pack of them, you'd be easily able to see how they're made and then make your own.  

You might also use Google or Dogpile to try to find a "pattern for star boxes."  That's what they were called at OTC: star boxes.
