3ds max spline question?

Whenever i created a spline, it showed every new vertex with a cross, now it doesnt show anything...is there something wrong with my settings somewhere? how can i turn the cross back on?

You see the crosses when you're in the 'vertex' sub-level.

You can enter the vertex sub-level from the quad-menu (right-click on the spline).
