3rd Oven Element in 7 years

Question

Hi - I have an oven that just seems to eat up oven elements. I am on the third one in 7 years. When it blows there is usually a bit of bang and a small hole can be seen in the element. It is easy enough to replace but surely it shouldn't be blowing so often. I only use the oven 2 or 3 times a week so it is not through over use.I was wondering if I don't use maximum temperature I might extend the life. Cheers if anyone can help.
