I know its a ways off, but who would you select with the 3rd pick in the 2008 NFL fantasy draft. I am leaning towards Westbrook, unless Adrian Peterson should happen to be there at the 3rd pick, as Brady just might go at #2.

  1. Westbrook or Addai.  It's a pick 'em, imo.  With Peterson, I'm worried that the Vikes might try to save him up more this year and Chester Taylor might grab more of his carries.

  2. Depends on scoring.  If you like Westbrook or Peterson you could trade down to number 4 or 5.  One of the three will be there.

If you would like to join another league, Draft Aug 5, Yahoo #155966, 1265 Lombardi Ave Leagu.

  3. if AP is there, go ahead. Yet if Westbrook or Brady is available, I'd rather pick the RB, but remember Brady had a 50 touchdown season.

  4. I think that is a good assessment.  Westbrook is an awesome fantasy back.  He is extra good in points per reception leagues.  I believe he is a contract holdout right now.  Pay attention to that because if he reports to camp late he might not be fully ready for week one.  That doesn't mean not to draft him, but don't be upset if he is a step slow for a couple of weeks.

  5. funny! lol

  6. Westbrook if you get points per recpetion

Brady if your league favors QBs

Id go with a running back regardless and definitly Peterson if he is there at 3

  7. I had the 3rd pick and I went westbrook all the way. But I knew that my friend was gonna go steven jackson with the 2nd pick. I wouldn't worry about brady, he's not gonna repeat 50 td's. I think the classic RB 1st round is the key, no matter what always go RB. Both Jackson and westbrook are hold outs now but the rams have cut off talks until jackson comes to camp which kinda forces jacksons hand. He may be stubborn and hold out for a while. The eagles aren't dumb and they know westbrook is a stud. If you mean you are considering AP, don't!. He has never been healthy, even in college, he's high risk/high reward. If I were you I would pick up west brook and the 2nd pick/18th go a jamal lewis or brandon jacobs. If you are sore about not picking peterson make sure you grab chester taylor in like the 7th round. I guarantee petterson will go down or he will have a sophmore slump. Trust me stay away. People will tell you to pick him but don't. Hey maybe he will go with the 1st pick and you can get LT

  8. this is who i would go with in the thrid round if you dont have a qb yet see who the best one is they proboly will all be gone by that point if u need a running back then you hsould take brian westbrook no dought about it

  9. If AP's there at #3, you HAVE to take him.  Otherwise, consider Joseph Addai, Brian Westbrook, and/or Steven Jackson (in that order of preference)  None of the three are in any RBBC type situations, and all three are threats to run AND receive passes, which just adds more value to all of them.  In my opinion, Addai is youngest, has endured the least wear and tear on his body, has the best QB to take pressure off him, and the best O-Line to run behind, so yeah, Addai at #3 would work.

  10. I would go with Jackson.  He finished the season pretty strong...he is in a contract year...his new coordinator coached P.Holmes/M.Faulk in the past...he isn't a one man offense.

Westbrook is the Eagles offense.  I would be leary of a big injury...as much as he touches the ball and such.
