3rd street promenade in Santa Monica?

I have been here a few times but I was wondering , will the area and restuarants be very crowded on forth of July weekend? Mostly on the forth?

Probably it will be crowded, but Santa Monica has NO fireworks show so people go home after the day at the beach or pier.

Monsoon Cafe on the Prominade is excellent. Really good asian of all types, Sushi, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Korean..

It's right off of Wilsire &  you probably won't need a reservation to get a decent table.  It's a pretty big place.

it will definitely be be crowded than usual, i'd say over the whole weekend.  stores/shops will most likely have july 4th sales and restaurants will have more tourists/visitors than usual.  have fun!
