3rd time asking this question: Traveling tips.?

Question

I'm not sure if I'm going alone yet but I wouldn't doubt it as it seems that no one can afford it or are busy. I'm going to be 21 soon in a couple of days and I want to go somewhere close to New York, like the New Jersey shore or upstate New York or maybe another state that I can take a bus or train to. I do work but I'm not rich so by no means am I looking to go by plane or to another country. This year has been very hard and stressful (it is only going to get worse) so I have this great urge just to go somewhere, even if it's for a weekend, just to get away. I want to go some place to relax but to have things to do for fun too. I've never truly been on vacation before so I'm a little confused as to how I can research cheap hotels while also making sure that I have things to do there. As I said, it would probably only be a weekend or three days since I have summer classes and work so it doesn't have to be alot of things. Maybe like an amusement park near by or a quaint town. Thanks

How about Coney Island or Atlantic City?  I used to go to Coney Island as a kid.  The rides were great fun.

priceline without a doubt will get you the cheapest hotel rooms and rental cars if you need them.  however it is key that you start bidding on hotel rooms or cars really early because if your bid is rejected for being to cheap or something you have to wait 24 hours to bid again and DO NOT BE AFRAID TO BID EXTREMELY CHEAP for example a 4 star room.  your bid should start around 50 bucks and that is not a lie. i can guarantee you will get a 4 or 5 star for under 100 bucks (this isnt an add either) if rejected just keep bidding. my mom does it all the time
