3yo with rash in armpit?

My 3yo has a dark red rash on her armpit, it looks like there might have been a blister, but i didn't see a blister, and the skin is starting to peal, what should i put on it?

  1. first of all what the heck is a 3yo? Second i think you should see a dermatologist. I've heard of those rashes before and they're not good. So yeah see a Dermatologist right away.


  2. Sounds maybe like eczema or psoriasis. I had it when I was a baby, especially in the folds of skin (behind my knees, behind the ears, armpits). Use a good odorless and gentle moisturizer. Your child's skin is broken, so anything harsh will burn and make it worse.

    You can try Glaxal Base, it's really mild and works well.

    Visit a pediatrician and ask for a prescription of baby-strength cortizone cream.

    If it is eczema or psoriasis, it will be a lifelong condition that comes and goes.
