My 3yr old daughter says sometimes when she wakes up in the night she see's a tiger standing there watching her. i have told her not to be scared and talk to it but she hasn't tried yet. What do you think this could mean? I'm not sure if she is dreaming it. My whole family is a strong spiritual family and often see or hear spirits and dreams. Any ideas?? Thanks

  1. all reality is perception

and being a child waking may have a hard time differentiating between

the conscious world and the dream worlds.

don't be surprised if she may start seeing mr/mrs tiger wide awake.

trying to act as a symbol for her.

oh and tigers are know to sometimes represent moral strength in dreams

    hope it helps

might look into totem animals too

  2. a tiger is not a good thing.  it represents evil or danger.  Do not encourage her to engage it.

I don't know your beliefs, but I would pray the opposite, and pray for

God's protection over her and her room.  Some animals can have 2

distinct and opposite meanings, but this one most often represents

evil.  The lion can be representative of the devil or Jesus; Jesus is referred to as the Lion of the Tribe of Judah; the devil is referred to as

a stalking lion seeking someone to devour.

Be very careful in dealing with differing spirits, because they can lie.

  3. wow... weird

look up online what a tiger symbolizes, i have no clue.. maybe that will help tho with finding out what it means

  4. You're not sure if she's dreaming it? So, you think there actually could be a tiger hiding in her bedroom...and you told her to try talking to it?

If I thought a wild carnivore could be in my child's room, I think I'd take a look for myself.

  5. It probably is a dream, cause I have the same thing sometimes, I just close my eyes and try to think of something happy, like well I don't know what she likes, maybe cookies I don't know, and it might be a shadow from a light that is on from a different house through the window.

  6. You might want to have her room "cleansed" in some way (like smudging or that sort of thing). And in some culture tigers are not necessarily evil, they stand for strength and fleetness. Anyway I think your daughters reaction is everything. If she is scared maybe you can tell her to tell it to go away, it could be an empowering experience for her.
