4.3 V6 Mercruiser... What is the horsepower rating?

My friend has a 1990 ThunderCraft for sale with a 4.3 V6. I was just wondering how much horsepower this engine produces and how do I know for sure what the horsepower rating is. (i.e. serial #, etc.) Any info would help.

I have a 1994 Rinker with twin Merc 4.3 V6's, and they are rated at 180 hp ea.
