As the title said, I plan to gather between 4 to 6 guys to set on a few weeks long trip of South America. As you've noticed, we are quite young and are limited with budget (plan on spending no more than $3,500/person for the whole trip). We want to make our trip a bit "adventurish", meaning we want lots of activities like hiking, rainforest exploration, rafting, late-night fiesta in the forest/beach, surfing, chill, etc. We want less of traditional sightseeing as that can be postponed for family vacation in the future. This trip will take place on June next year so we have plenty of time to plan.
That being said, would you suggest Peru or Brazil for our destination? It'd be best to go to more than one country, but due to our very short time span, we think it's better to stay in one country and enjoy it to its max rather than rushing ourselves to see a little of everything.
Peru has Machu Piccu, Inkan Trail, Rainforest, Cuzco.
Brazil has Rio, Beaches, the Amazon.
Which is better?
