I found 4 kittens in my back yard. I'm guessing they're a few weeks old. Eyes are open and they climbing around. I picked a couple up, they're quite friendly, but I noticed they have tiny brown bugs crawling all over their abdomens. The bugs didn't jump - does that mean they're not fleas??? Any ideas?

  1. fleas or ticks if its ticks that is really bad.

  2. wash them off and take them to a shelter, what they have was fleas and if they have too many fleas they will litrally die so please help the poor things.

  3. Those are fleas.  Go to www.petfinder.com to find the nearest shelter to take them to or call your local animal control shelter.  Don't leave them outside to suffer.

  4. there not fleas, if you dont want them id bring them to the humain society as soon as posible so they can get antibiotics and stuff, the bugs may be harmfull to them

  5. I don't know. I recommend somehow transporting them without any contact to the nearest vet to have the bugs checked and the kittens checked over for any other diseases and/or parasites.

Also, be sure to toroughly clean your hands, clothes and other items touched by the cats. It could be a disease contagious to humans or other animals.
