  1. I have a hamster, they are most likely to drink water. Fresh water. Change the water everyday. Try to keep the babies at room temparature, and not in a drafty area. Hope this helps!! :)

  2. I tried to hand rear baby hamsters when the mother died on me,the babies were 12 days old and none of them survived.

They need there mothers milk and there isnt a special milk you can give ,i asked a vet and he said to try kitten milk or baby formula.

    I tried baby formula,through a syringe.

You will need to be careful that you dont give them to much or they could drown.

I would go by room temprature.

When they are newborn and mummy hamster isnt about the chances of survival are very very slim.

    Good luck.

  3. I am very sorry to hear about the death of the mother hamster. From my experience, you can feed them kitten or puppy milk replacer with syringes but there is a lot more to do other than feeding them like keeping them warm and helping them defecate.

Please go through this site which will give you all the information you need to take care of orphan hamsters.

It is hard work to take care of four baby hamsters especially those that are 2 days old,but I am sure it is worth the effort when one month later, you have four lively beautiful hamsters in your hammy cage.Don't lose hope, nature is marvellous in its creations and all the very best!!!!!
