  1. I've worked there for years.  E-learning is cheesy, but it helps.  Don't be nervous!  If you have any common sense at all, you'll catch on just fine.  Most people make this job harder than it is.  My biggest problem is grouchy customers.  You are not allowed to react to them.  You just have to smile and say have a nice day when all you really want to do is smile and sqeeze their throat until blood spurts out their ears.  I've had food thrown at me, been cursed at, and had one woman actually try to climb in the drive thru window at me--simply because she had to wait longer than she wanted to!  People will take their bad days out on you BECAUSE THEY KNOW YOU CAN'T SAY ANYTHING RUDE BACK TO THEM.  But it's OK.  Go to your happy place.  In some cases, walking away and getting a manager is best.

    Good Luck!

  2. I worked at Mc like 4 years ago, and i did the e-learning, i didnt think it was complicated. But the actual working there was a pain, maybe it was the managment where i worked. Its not difficult once you get the hang of it. I could never work at drive thru, i only worked it once and that was it...

  3. Sure did.  It's super easy though it doesnt even begin to prepare you for your experience working there. It usually just explains what they teach you anyway, but it is a requirement.

  4. hey buddy.. i dont nor have i ever worked at mcdonalds so i cant help you out with the E-learning.. But as far as remembering all the food names and stuff... Everything may seem hard when you first start a new job (especially your first), but usually after a week or two you get the hang of it and everything will be easier and normal to do. Good Luck!

  5. I worked at mcdonalds for 2 years... unfortunately. I never had to do e-learning though, so I can't help you out with that. But when it comes to learning the names of the foods and all that ... trust me it doesn't take long. TONS of people eat there and by the end of 2 weeks everything will be drilled into your mind... forever... and ever.

  6. I've worked at two different McDonalds. The first McDonalds was really ghetto, and they didn't do the e-learning. The second on, which I'm still working at, is really nice, and I had to do e-learning there, even though I already knew everything.

No, I don't think it's hard to work there. As long as you can pay attention to your job, it's easy (and fun!).

As for remembering stuff, it won't be that hard. It's simply practice and repetition. Before you know it, you'll be making a cheeseburger in 15 seconds! When I first learned till, I was really SLOW! But now when I train new people, they're like "Whoa, you're so fast!". I almost never ate at McDonalds before i got hired, so it was all new to me, but now I know the menu inside out.

    Good luck!

  7. no i didn,t. but that was many yrs. ago we didnt have to do tests like that to get a job.

  8. I worked at a mcd's when I was 16, and it really wasn't so bad, I didn't take the e-learning, but I think I could if I wanted to.  As far as the menu goes, it's really not so much to remember, the hardest part is remembering which numbers go with which value meals, but trust me, you will hear "a number one with a dr. pepper" so many times that it will be impossible to ever forget.  That, and so many people ask stuff like, "what's the difference between a big and tasty and a quarter pounder with cheese?", that it just flies out of your mouth, "the first has ketchup, mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, and the second has ketchup, mustard, pickle, and onion"  See?  it's been years since I've worked there, and no matter how I try, I can't forget that there are 12 oz in a small, 21 in a medium, 32 in a large, and 42 in an extra large...I'm not kidding, lol, I could go on and on
