Question:

4 days late for my period? Should I tell my boyfriend?

about 4 weeks ago I had a weird cycle it lasted for 3 days when my whole life my cycle lasted 6 to 7 days. I had a pregnancy scare at this time and took 3 test a day after this weird cycle ended, it read negative. I'm keeping calm because I hear stressing can make it come later so I'm chilled out but what should I do? I'm 4 days late.

Should I tell my boyfriend? We've been together for almost a year now. I think he knows though. But isn't it normal sometimes because our hormones can fluctuate from time to time?

When he found out I was 2 days late, he got quiet. He had asked if I started yet and had to tell him the truth. I said it was because of stress but now it is day 4.

What do I do?

  1. You should definitely tell him and ask if he would go with you to the doctor for a blood test.

  2. The best thing you could do is take a test. My boyfriend is slightly the same way We've had a scare or two in the past but the second he thinks i should be starting he starts asking everyday and gets very paranoid and quiet. And your hormones could jsut be messing up. I was strictly every 28 days and then all of a sudden i went every 32 and then after a few months it'll go to 26 and so forth so your hormones just could be out of wack....Oh also weight loss and weight gain can cause a late period as well as doing more exercise than normal, or stress.  and sometimes if you hang out wiht a girl (ie Best friend?) a whole lot i've found your cycles will work it out to be on the smae scheduel possibly making you late or early..Hope that helps.

  3. take a test, good luck

  4. I would take a home pregnancy test first.

Or, if you want to, tell him that you think you might be pregnant.  And see his reaction.  Depending on his reaction, you might want to wait until you know for sure, then see where you want to go with the relationship from there.

  5. It may be too early to tel your BF just yet.  Continue taking the tests and go to your doctor to make sure. If you are pregnant, then tell your BF.

  6. get a test.

    plain and simple

  7. Yeah I would tell him, so he can be prepared for anything.  He can also offer you support and help you cope.

You should also have the discussion about what would happen if you were, but more importantly what you plan to do to prevent this in the future if it does come.

  8. noooooo, females never stay on track with the monthly cycle. wait a MONTH in a HALF or TWO MONTHS then panic, if it hasn't started.

Freak a boyfriend out might as well say bye.

  9. welll.

you're period doesnt always come on the exact day of every month.

it usualy comes around the same time...

wait until the end of the month to see if it comes,

    and if it doesnt.

    take another test.

    go to the dr.

    and let them test you.

thats the only way you'll be positive.

    p.s...dont take so many tests...

and when you do take a test...check the expiration date...

because sometimes the tests are expired...

  10. I'm kind of going through the same thing right now..  I think I may be pregnant and I told my boyfriend, but he only bases it on facts.  If I were you I would tell him you are concerned, get a pregnancy test and just check again.  Good luck..  And don't worry, everything happens for a reason. =)

  11. honesty is the best policy and you should get a test
