My husband and I have been ttc for 6 months now.....I am now 4 days late on my period with a basal body temp reading of 97.5....is there still a chance of pregnancy or is the tempreature to low....has anyone had a temp reading like this and still get a positive pregnancy result?

  1. it depends on what your temp is before ovulation.  Everyone is different.  Has your temp gone down as if you are getting your period?  If so that chances are it is still coming... but if 97.5 is what you are usually at after ovulation than you very well could be pregnant. Good luck!

  2. I agree that this will all depend if this is in the region of your normal luteal phase temps or not. Personally, a 97.5 is what I get in the follicular phase, when there's no progesterone, ie: it would mean that I'm not pregnant .... but some women have a 97.5 as their luteal phase high, so everyone is different!

  3. Like the first answer said, it really depends on what your pre-ovulation temperature was.  If you were like 97.0 pre-ovulation, and after ovulation you get 97.5 then there is a chance of pregnancy and only if the temperature stays up like that for more than 18 days past ovulation.  If you see that it starts to go down that means you period is on its way.  When I got pregnant, my pre-O temps were in the 97.0-97.3, and after ovulation it went up to 97.7 and kept rising each day up to 98.5 and remained up over 98.2, until the day I miscarried and went back down to 97.7

    Wish you good luck!
