4-h PROJECT HELP?

Question

I am doing home enviroment. I am making a shadow box with horse items. I have a bit, spurs, rope, shoe, and a hoof pick. I need oher items i could put in the box. They have to be able to fit in a 25" x 8 inch box. PLEASE HELP!!!

How about a little hay tied with raffia and some sugar cubes? Also:  photographs, a horseshoe,  & one of those combs & brushes for grooming.  (Sorry.  I don't know the lingo)  Then take a trip to a fabric store or a wallpaper store & look for something to use as a background.  Ask to see the remnants, which are leftover pieces & would be cheaper, but don't neglect the rest of the store either.  

Once I had a piece of turquoise tweed luggage that cracked on one end, sort of melted in the sun.  We found some contact paper (like wallpaper) with beige burlap on it, cut it to fit, & it was perfect.  The point is that something rustic like that would be good as a background.  And of course, the frame itself should fit the theme, although horseback riding gear is sometimes fancy.  That brings up the thought of buttons that go on Western shirts, but that all depends on whether you like Western or English style.

Oh, yeah...speaking of burlap...how about going to a feed store to see if they have any empty feed bags with writing on the end.  (What do horses eat besides hay? Oats?) Graphics are always good.  

There used to be cotton print feed sacks, usually an old-fashioned tiny flower print, that people used for sewing clothing in the olden days.  They would collect several in the same print until they had enough for a dress or child's clothing or whatever.  I don't know if those are still around, though.

Wow...this is going to weigh an awful lot, especially with a horseshoe.  Well, maybe you can be selective or make 2 boxes.
