  1. SLEEP

  2. A good book if you like science fiction is The sword of Shannara, by Terry Brooks. I hope that the train journey goes well.

  3. txt people from your mob,go on the net on your phone, get the closer mag it has storys and puzzles etc, sidoku( or how ever you spell it lol)

    good luck

    enjoy yourself

  4. WE'VE ALL GOT A HOLIDAY COMING UP. GET SOME SHUT EYE SO YOU CAN PARTY HARD. SIT ON YOUR HANDBAG MIND ELSE YOU MAY FIND SOMEONE TAKES ADVANTAGE!

  5. 1. Take a stopwatch and time the interval between mileposts (every quarter mile). Then you can work out the speed of the train.

    2. Get a puzzle book and work through it.

    3. Got a hobby? Get magazines on that and read them.

    4. Read a novel. A good one will hold your attention and help pass the time.

    5. Got a lap top? Bring that along and spend the time working on it. Time passes very quickly when you're on the computer.

    6. Watch the scenery. Farmland is especially interesting this time of year.

    7. Please, switch your mobile to silent and only use it if absolutely necessary, e.g. train delayed and you have to let people meeting you know. Nothing is more annoying to other passengers than constant ring tones and chatting. If you want to amuse yourself on the phone, texting is better anyway.

4 hours seems a long time but on a rail journey it will pass quickly enough.

  6. Read "Night" by Weisel.

  7. take a selection of mags that have insteresting storys in them. Also mags with games such as sudoko are really good. Also why not borrow a friends gameboy kinda thing. If all else fails ........ just go to sleep !

    hope this helps.

  8. depending where you are...a small pair of binoculars might be interesting.  Most trains travel through countryside rarely seen from the hiway.  you may just be surprised at what you will see.

  9. take a good book or a couple of magazines.  Reading those, listening to music and gazing out of the window will easily pass 4 hours.

  10. Why does everyone have to be constantly entertained these days?  It's a train trip.  Possibly a new experience.  Try looking out the windows and enjoying the scenery!

  11. get a sudoku puzzle book, if you don't know how to do them, after reading the instructions at the front of the book, you have 4 hours to kill, so i guess you would have mastered them by then. I love doing them

  12. Grab a puzzle book, and the latest mags.

  13. On your own? you could play with yourself!

It would have been nice if you said from where and to!

  14. Read Haruki Murakami's "Norwegian Wood". Seriously, the most incredible thing I've read in years, and you'll probably finish it in that time.
