4 month Vaccine shots?

I will be taking my daughter in for her 4 month old shots in a couple of weeks. I was wondering when I take her, will she get a fever like how she did when she got her 2 month shots or will she be okay since her body is use to it from her 2 month old shots? I was just wondering so please let me know. Thanks.

  1. My nurse told me that effects from the shots are more likely to affect the baby the second and third round.  So yes, you will probably see a bit of a fever and some sleepiness.  My daughter didn't really get affected by the 2 month shots but at 4 months was irritable and very sleepy (slept 12 hours for the first and only time).

  2. Theres no way to predict it really..If she did get a fever from the first round there is a good chance she will get one from the second..My son gets fevers every time but my daughter never did..Hope this helped

  3. 4 months is the same as 2 month, if she fevered before she will probably fever again, this time it might be a little easier than the last..my doctor said to give tylenol about 10 minutes before the shots (in between the checkup and the shot) and then keep up with the tylenol every 4 hours..

  4. well with my kids they both got fevers both times. What I did was give them tylenol 20 minutes BEFORE they got the shots so it didn't hurt them so much afterward. They cried when they got the shots but were usually asleep before we got home. It prevented them from having to be in pain on the ride home and then I just made that every 4 hours they had tylenol so they didn't feel the effect of fevers and pain. good luck

  5. Vaccine damage is cumulative, so if there's any change it would tend to get worse instead of better.  If you are concerned about anything, you can delay her shots while you research.

You do have the option of delaying vaccines, skipping certain vaccines, or not getting any of them ever again.

There are exemptions available for school vaccine requirements.

  6. Mine didn't get one from his 2 months shots but got one for his 4 month ones (and I even gave him Tylenol half an hour before the appt like the doctor told me to).  She also said that if he got a fever this time, chances are he will for the 6 month ones as each set of shots get stronger.  I really hope she's wrong..he goes for his next ones tomorrow :o(
