  1. This happened to me.   They do ask for 3 years tax records and proof of current employment before final approval.   I did not notify them of the changes.   Although I was lucky enough to find a job after six months of being unemployed.  In additional, I had decent working salary in previous job.  Since I found the job before approval, from the financial support point of view nothing was changed.    My advice would be if you had good paying job before, find a job, any job that pay above poverty line (I think like 15K a year, not sure though) quickly.   If you can do that, than you should not have problem.   If you notify them now, they will probably deny your petition.   You will have to apply again once you find another job.   Good luck to you.


  2. You must immediately notify USCIS.  Failure to notify them of your changed circumstances and inability to support your fiance constitutes fraud and a few other serious crimes.  You should have reported it before this!  Hurry up and get it done.
