  1. HAHAHAHAHAHAH i done this today in maths.

    too bad i didnt listen :(

    sorry

  2. x=1 and y=2...substitute the values and check it out

  3. after solving i got x=1,y=2

  4. Im not sure but i think u have to take log on both sides and then differentiate or something

    uh.. i hate math

  5. 4^2 (x + 1) = 2^(y+2)

    so 2^(2x+2) = 2^(y+2)

    2x + 2 = y+2 or 2x = y

    3^(x-1) = 5^(y-2)

    take log of both sides

    (x -1) log 3 = (y-2) log 5

    put y = 2x to get

    (x-1) log 3 = 2( x-1) log 5

    is true only is (x-1) = 0 or x= 1 and so y = 2

    math kp

  6. 4^(x+1)=2^(y+2)

    (x+1) ln(4) = (y+2) ln(2)

    x ln (4) + ln (4) = y ln (2) + 2 ln (2)

    x ln (4) - y ln (2) = 2 ln (2) - ln (4) ---- (1)

    3^(x-1)=5^(y-2)

    (x+1) ln (3) = (y-2) ln(5)

    x ln (3) + ln (3) = y ln (5) - 2 ln (5)

    x ln (3) - y ln (5) = - 2ln (5) - ln (3) --- (2)

    Solve (1) and (2) for x and y

    x ln (4) - y ln (2) = 2 ln (2) - ln (4) ---- (1)

    x ln (3) - y ln (5) = - 2ln (5) - ln (3) --- (2)

    ln(2)=0.6931471805599453

    ln(4)=1.3862943611198905

    ln(5)=1.6094379124341002

    ln(3)=1.0986122886681097

    1.38629 x - 0.69315 y = 0 --- (1)

    1.09861 x - 1.609437 y = -4.3174881 --- (2)

    x=2.0363

    y=4.0726

  7. 4^[x+1]=2^[y+2]

    =>2[x+1]=y+2

    =>2x-y=0

    3^[x-1]=5^[y-2] =>  3^[x-1]=5^[2x-2]

    [x-1]log3=2[x-1]log5

    log 3=2 log 5

    it is impossible as log3<log 5

    so in the second eqn we shud equate both to 1

    then we get x=1 y=2

  8. its answer should be x=1 & y=2
