4 red lights ring of death xbox 360

Question

now i am aware that 4 red lights mean the AV cable isnt plugged in, however wat does it mean if it still comes up with 4 when ive made sure ites plugged in. could it mean either the ave cable is broken or could it possibly mean that the av component in the xbox is broken or could it possiblt be both

Check everything, If everything seems to be in place and its still not working properly Box it back up and send it back to xbox. you should get a working one back in about 3 weeks

It's the AV cable itself. If the fault was within the Xbox it would have 1 red ring which shows hardware fault. List of error codes here;

Take controlers out except power lead

Wrap in towels and leave to over  heat for 15 mins

Leave to cool down

Plug everything bk in and ur away

Heat softens joints and when cooling down they become hard so the connection is better

Search up on youtube if u dnt believe me

Your cable may very well be broken. Try wiping the metal area of the AV cable with a dry, clean, chemical-free cloth. You could also try out a different AV cable that you know works. If that doesn't solve the problem, then you might have to contact Microsoft at: 18004MYXBOX

i am assuming that you have the elite and in that case a lot of them have been sent back for this problem a componant in the xbox is broken. best option is to send it back and they will send you a new one even if you warrentee is over its limit
