4 stroke engine + castrol gtx?

Question

can i use castrol gtx in a 4 stroke, single cylinder honda gx340, or do i need to go get some 4 stroke oil?

the oil i have is 15w50

15w50 is wayyy too heavy

It won't harm the engine but problems can arise with the clutch. If you've got a wet type clutch (MOST motorcycles do) which gets bathed in oil some of the additives used in oil for automotive engines can cause it to slip. I'd rather be safe than sorry and stay with the recommended oil.

Remember oil meant for automotive engines is designed to lubricate engine parts only, could cause slippage and will definitely shorten the life of clutch plates.
