My 4 week old baby's doctor put him on Soy formula because of a supposed stomache issue but we believe and him believes that the reason he threw up regular formula while in hospital was because they the nicu people fed him to fast after his episode of swallowing amniotic fluid and then they fed him right after and of course he threw that up so they put him on nutramagen after that then he switched him to soy because he was throwing up bad with that one, and with soy he has diarrhea and now we asked if we can just try enfamil lipil with iron and he said ya he should be fine i dont think he is allergic to it we think the hospital fed him to fast after the swallowing of amniotic fluid and flushing out his system by sucking that stuff out what do you think he will be okay on enfamil?

  1. I think you should get another doctor's opinion on this. Typically doctors try not to put babies on soy unless it is absolutely necessary, so this is odd. But definitely get another professional opinion.

  2. why not try it for  a couple weeks its worth it since you think other things caused it..personally, i would. if he is fine, inform your doctor you will be switching.
