4 year old points with middle finger.......?

I'm a mother of 3 ...11, 10 and 4..My 4 year old son points at everything with his middle finger..I tell him not to ..I tell him good finger bad finger etc, but i can't get him to stop he will b starting school soon and few kids he plays with came to tell on him the other day.."Dylan flipped me off" any sugestions on how to get him to stop ?

Reward him for pointing with the right finger. Make a rewards chart. Explain to him that if he points with that finger, it's not good behavior, and you'll remove one of his stickers from the reward chart. If he gets 20 stickers tell him that calls for a special reward and give him something you know he loves. Hopefully he'll learn to point with the right finger.

I told my daughter that pointing or putting her middle finger up was no different then telling someone to F*CK OFF, she hasn't done it since.

Good luck...m.y son did that also.  My father in law was missing his pointy (index) finger and used his middle finger for pointing.
