  1. If your doctor is worth his/her weight they will induce you!! I just had a baby 12 weeks ago and I was finally induced. Big reason: If you are worn out, you really need to preserve your strength. You need to relate this to your OB/GYN...you are past your due date, so it should not be a problem if you put your foot down.  If your doctor says no and there are other doctors in the practice- ask on the spot for a second opinion.  Both of my kids were induced.

  2. i bounced on my excersize ball for 5 hours straight. my theory was that i was bouncing him down on my cervix to help dilate it. i went into labour the next morning.

  3. Just get your labor induced!

  4. You think you are worn out NOW wait until the baby comes.

Your baby knows when your baby is ready to be born.  Having a baby before it is ready makes even more work for momma.  I had one baby 10 days late, and one 14 days early.  The early one had a horrible time staying warm so I had to check on him all the time, he had jaundice and breastmilk jaundice, I had to wake him to nurse so I had to set an alarm.

My late baby was just fine.

  5. Huh? That was awfully quick... http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

  6. You can have your labor induced, but you need to discuss the possible effects that this might have. I was 1 1/2 weeks over due and asked to be induced. I had only 6 hours start to finish of labor and I had no pain meds, but once the Pitocin kicked in and the contractions really started, it got kinda ugly. One thing with induction is that you have no natural contractions to give you an idea of what you are going to feel and then WHAM they hit at almost full intensity. I am sorry if I just scared the bejeez out of you, it's not really that bad. There are also other considerations that you need to think about, because induction can cause problems with the infant.

  7. I wish you the best Lady Loo, I know how excited you Will be and tired on your last week, hang in there.

    Best of luck!

I read this article one day and I think it will be a little help for you? Hope you the best.

  8. Relax and let your baby come when s/he is ready. kick your feet up and try to enjoy this... that worn out feeling isnt going to go away after the baby comes so try to relax while you can!

  9. if there are no health issues then you need to wait it out. you might feel worn out but obviously your baby is not ready yet and trust me, they will come when they are ready. remember, doctors can be off on due dates by up to two weeks and most wont induce until you are closer to the 42 week mark or it they can tell the baby is too big already from doing an ultrasound. induction sounds easy, but can cause alot of complications so if you can avoid it, you need to. like the person above me said, pitocin is no joke! just try to take a warm bath and relax. another thing to help you relax and help naturally induce labor is to have s*x. most women may not feel like it this late in the game but trust me it works. just lay back and let your husband do the work. it will relieve stress and should bring on contractions.

  10. See your doctor and explain what is really dragging on you.  He/she may give you ideas or  suggest induced labor.  Trust your doctor and if they say wait please do it.

  11. It's okay. I think what you need is a hot bath and a good night's rest. Labor comes better if you are relaxed.
