  1. your doctor should have explained this to you ,they can induce the baby, make him/her come, they won't let you go for much longer,at worst you might need c-section, good luck

  2. I feel your pain!  My first was late too.  This is probably not what you want to hear, but the average pregnancy for a Caucasian woman is actually 41 weeks and 1 day.  I know those last days are miserable, but hang in there!  Your baby will come before you know it!

  3. I was only three days late... it was all owrth it and yes it feels like forever now... but just wait it out. Enjoy the peace and quite for now!

  4. the good thing is, you are 40 weeks! when is your next appointment? your doctor might decide to induce you since you have allready hit the 40 week mark and have not dilated or anything yet!

with my daughter, i went overdue by one week. just like you, she never dropped, i never dilated, never had any contractions, nothing...i was scheduled to be induced, and went into labor the night before on my own!

take care, things will happen soon!

  5. dont worry - just because your 40 weeks doesnt mean you must deliver right away - baby will come when its ready - BUT if you want a lil help go and get an enima, at the drug store(just one) and you should start having contractions within two to three days - good luck!

  6. Go get a haircut and a scalp massage. It was recommended to me; I had the scalp massage on friday afternoon and had my daughter on saturday at 6pm. Plus, you deserve it!

  7. I wasn't in this situation, HOWEVER... you could go into labor tomorrow.  It's very possible.  Some women start to dilate early, and still take weeks to go into labor.  Some women will go into labor at 1 cm and deliver in the next day.  I hope that that give you hope... because it is inevitable... it will be here soon!!  Good luck!

  8. yes and I got induced. An induction is not bad. You can be prepared for everything ahead of time.

  9. Same thing happened with my first. I went 41 weeks and had to be induced, but it was my first pregnancy. I wish I could give you hope I know how uncomfortable it is. At your next Dr. appointment hopefully you'll know whats going on and when your baby will be here.

  10. You CAN go from nothing ( no dilation ect...) to begining labor. not everyone has signs of it coming. your 40 weeks ,you are almost done!!!!! (i'm 9 days overdue and waiting like crazy too.)
