thats the website. 6 months or 1 year contract. since your on contract, you have to obey the contract or else cancel contract and scholarship and go back to your home country.

they mentioned a medical checkup on the website as part of the procedure in order to get accepted to teach. i was wondering if anyone out there know what kind of medical check up it is.. like how they do it..they mentioned they are going to check for aids and other infectous diseases.... if anyone knows how they do that by drawing blood or taking skin test or hair test would be really nice..just pluck out some hair, and they do the rest.

thanks

  1. Brian, what is your question?  This looks more like a paid political announcement for a Korean scholarship program to get people over here to teach rural Koreans English for a fraction of the cost what a teacher might get paid if they are here on a teaching visa.

I teach English in Korea now.  I am not against this program, but just not clear what your motive is.  There is more than enough work to go around so this is no way threatening existing teachers and all-in-all, sounds good on the surface.

One observation is that this seems more like a sabbatical away from college rather than attending, unless one is prepared to take lessons in the local language, Hangul.
