400+ gallon above ground pool, don't want to drain it, how do we clean it?

Our pool is only a week old. Everyday we clean out the leaves and so forth. My problem is now the water is milky looking and the bottom feels slimy. We put 4 1/4 cups of clorox bleach in it but it didn't do anything but made everything smell like bleach. We don't want to drain it out completely because we already did this twice and the water bill is going to be high already. What do you recommend we do to keep the water looking and feeling fresh as well as safe to swim in? Is there a battery cleaner machine you can buy for small pool to clean the bottom floor of the pool? That's really hard to clean with a net. Kind of like a "shark" does for inground pools. Nothing big or expensive but can get all the dirt and gunk off the bottom. Also if we shock it could we do this once a week and how long does it take before it's safe to swim in again? Thanks in advance. Think people and answer good answers fast. I need an answer today..so think 10 points!

  1. You should only have to shock it once at the beginning of the year to open the pool and then if you keep a filter running I keep mine on 2 to 3 hours in the evening your pool should not go green, keep a chlorine tablet in it all at times.

    Good Luck  Happy swimming
