400 meter track question.?

I'm doing the 400m as a freshman in highschool and wanted to know what you should get in order to get a scholarship.I currently run it in 52seconds ,thank you!!!

my friend corbin said he needs a 47 to get a full scholarship at USC.

48-49 is good.

and to that girl that said she runs a low 40, wth. thats teh world record for guys.

for girls its 47 somthing. impossible.

47-48 seconds will get you a scholarship to the best running programs; 49-52 will get you a scholarship to some of the lesser programs.

if you was to drop your time about  3 or 4 seconds to like a 48or49 then you should be okay. but as long as you show determination in your runs then they will give you a scholarship! GOOD LUCK!!

it depends on where you want to go to schools. some will be fine with you at 52 others may want you faster, like 48-49. you have 3 more years to get faster so don't worry about it too much just yet.

~there is no way an 8th grade girl runs 45 in the 400m. the fastest women at the olympics run 49-50.

~it doesn't take a 43-45 to get a college scholarship considering there are a lot of guys running the 400 in college with scholarships. most of the guys at the Olympic Trials were running 46 and the world record is 43.18.

The first answer is pure stupidity. There is no female in this world that is capable of running a 45 second 400 meter. The fastest female time in the world this year was 49 seconds. Aside from that, that is a very good time to start with, you would need to shave off about 5 seconds. Good luck!

thats awesome but im in 8th and i run it in 45 sec so probably better than 45 sec and all so im a girl
