  1. great thats really fantastic i did 800 in 4:07 so you did really well too

  2. Congrats on achieving your goal, however...a 14 year old girl should be able to get under two minutes fairly easily.

Keep on training, and you'll be fine!

  3. set a canadian boys, under 18, record in 1966 of 49.15 for the 400 meters.

don't really think that 1:48 is very quick at all, but congratulations if that is your best time.

  4. wow. i run the 400 in less than a minute. and its not even my event. its not really good...maybe just stick to longer distances...

  5. it's good you reached your goal, but that is not a very good time. but i mean the whole point of track is to work to get better. so stay at it, work hard and you'll have a much better time that you'll like. good luck!

  6. GOOD JOB!!! congrats at beating your goal!!! im trying to beat my goal at 1:07 but its been pretty hard for me... so congrats and good luck at your season!

  7. I am 13 yr girl and I run a 1:05, but don't compare yourself to other people. Set your goal and follow it!

  8. i ran it in 1:08 when i was 14...stick to the longer distances.

  9. That is pretty pathetic actually...you shouldn't have to struggle to get under 2 minutes for one lap around the track, even if you are a 14 year old girl.  If for a distance runner you should be able to do it under 1:30 for sure...

Think about it like this, your time of 1:48 is on pace for a 7:12 mile (that is assuming you keep that pace the whole time which you probably can't since you struggle to do it once)...so I am guessing you could probably barely run a mile under 8 minutes...that is not good...but don't let me discourage you, keep at it, you will be surprised how vastly you can improve in just a few months!!

  10. i ran a 1.11 when i was 14 and i run xc

  11. Yeah, here's two ways of looking at it:

    1. Even if you're not a sprinter, that's pretty pathetic. I mean, if you were struggling to get under 2 minutes on a quarter mile, that means that you must've probably been struggling to get under at least 8:45 on the mile, which is not that great.

    2. If that's your best time, go from there. Work on improving your time, and hopefully you can get to where you probably need to be. I'm 13 and I run a 400m in about 1:02.

  12. its a great score, not compared to others but compard to your old one. whatever you do though, dont become satisfied with it because it isnt a great time, the point is if you inproved once, you can improve again, and every improved time, is great.
