400m dash splits?

if i want to run a 50 second 400m what should my splits be

25/25 24/26 26/24 what should they be?

  1. i run a 50 in the 400 haha and my splits are usually 23 high then 27 low. i go out hard but when i go out controlled i do a 26 then come home in whatever i have! sometimes a 23 sometimes a 24


  2. each 100 should be less than 13

    so first 100 you want to blast out, so proably about a 10-11

    then your second 100 you want to keep it up, but not waste all your energy so 13

    your 3rd 100 should be pickup and recovery ish so probably 12

    and your last 100 should be coming home so all out but your porbably a little bit tired so about a 13.5 ish

  3. i run high 49.60 and under 50 everytime.

    i run the first 200m in around 23.5secs, and then last in what ever i have left..

    but if my coach wants me to control my run, i do 25 and 25, to help build up.

  4. the 400 isnt about hitting the correct split times. In the first 50 meters get up to a full sprint, then ease up slightly and relax on the straight (dont slow down, just stay calm, let the speed uve built up carry you). For the last 200 you lay down everything u have left, u gotta go all out til the finish.

  5. 26 24..you should get out fast becuase thats what others do..and if they get out fast and you dont you will have to run around them

    thats what my friend does, burns the first 200 and then holds on for the last 200
