400m off-season(summer)?

hi! i'm a freshman 400m runner. i had finished this season with a 55,29 sec. i wish improve my time next season... currently i'm in off-season i'd like to know what to do.

  1. im a freshman too! try to weigh your self down a little more, like a backpack filled with things. and run. this will help your speed. the more you run, the faster you will get. hope i helped!

  3. Run easy distance for about 3 miles 3 days each week, lift weights and do plyometrics twice a week, and run stadium bleachers or stairs on plyo days.

    Do a tempo run once each week.

    You need to get stronger, improve your cardiovascular system, and keep your legs used to running fast.
