40w/3d pregnant craziest discharge ever!?

Question

I just used the bathroom and I had the most crazy discharge of my life! It was kinda watery but white like normal (TMI I know and I'm sooo sorry) I feel normal and my doctor said yesterday that I'm only 1cm dilated, 50% effaced and baby is still at -3! This hasnt changed in a week.

Does this discharge just mean that I'm dilating more or should I be worried?

that what was happening to me as well...I went to the doctor for a checkup to find out it was my water breaking...and I was barely dilated as well...Just because your water breaks doesn't mean your body goes into labor...so call the doctor...or just go to the hospital...

Maybe losing your mucus plug... Which means things are moving along.

It could be your mucus plug - but that's usually more jelly like.

I'd call the doc & talk with the nurse.

i think it was your mucous plug. for most women when the water breaks it should be clear and odorless and should have a continuous leaking afterwards so much so that a pad cant even absorb it all.  

and once you lose your mucous plug your discharge should increase as well.

but if you are worried it was your water, as some women's breaks and they never know, you can go to the hospital and they can swab you to check it out. It takes seconds, i promise, and it is not painful.

it sounds like what my doctoer always calls your plug and that most the time comes out when your starting to thin more and should go in to labor with in the next few days or hours just stay in control of your nerves and do your normal day to day things if you have told your doctor and there not very concerned every thing is ok the baby will come when it is ready

The fact that the discharge itself is watery, to me, is pointing towards you water breaking. But then again, could be your mucus plug!!! I would call the hospital and ask them about it --just in case it was your water breaking!

In any case, no worrying ;) worst thing that will happen is you'll be giving birth soon.. and you probably are ready for that :D

I would call and ask the nurse.  Even if it's nothing, better to know for sure, esp if you are that far along!

Sounds like it may have been your mucous plug. I am really surprised how many pregnant women that the doctors have been letting go way over their due date. I am really surprised because it wasn't that long ago that they started inducing.

I would suspect you will eventually get there.

Do not be worried, sounds like part of your mucus plug.  Towards the end you will have increase in vaginal discharge.

are you sure it wasn't your water breaking?  I'd say go to the hospital, or at least call your doctor.

Sounds normal.  Good luck and hang in there!  I had a healthy 7 lb 15oz baby boy and I was two weeks over due.
