40w/4d why is this happening to me??

Question

I took my dog for his nightly walk and gave him a bath, I also did some light housework now I'm having contractions like crazy. They kinda started when I was giving my pup his bath but I figured it was the way I was standing! well I was waaay wrong!! Why do I only get contractions like this when I'm moving?

Its because the way you are positioned is helping baby drop and get into the birth canal and ready for delivery. Keep walking and doing what your doing and soon enough baby will be here!

Get moving. It will get things a goin! That's why they have women who are in labor to walk the halls because it helps labor progress. Pretty soon you'll notice that the contractions will keep going even after you stop moving. So, if you want this to be the time get active. Don't jazzerise or do cardio. Clean the house, take a walk. When I went into labor with my first daughter is was progressing sooo slow so I walked around my house, pacing and moving and a couple hours later I was in full blown labor and on my way to the hospital. Staying upright will also help because gravity is forcing your baby down so the baby's head helps dilation. So, god bless and put on your movin shoes!

thats great ur past ur due date so keep moving ! bring them contractions on so u can have ur little one here soon .. dont go crazy but keep on walking , move around .. have s*x.. good luck !

hi, only your body and your baby can answer that for you sweetie.it could be that your baby is pushing on different parts,moving different ways,doing different things,the bending over,it could be anything. you need to be looked at though, so it wouldn't hurt to go up to the hospital and get them to put the monitor on you because i would say you are probably in the early stages of labor now and the real thing is just around the corner.good luck and congrats.
