it comes and goes and its mostly on my right side. Its usually really short and comes right before I can feel the baby moving his head on my cervix. I know they arent contractions. they feel nothing like them! Does anyone know what this is?? I also think I'm starting to freak about every little pain because I really want labor to hurry up and come!!

  1. Might be to do with ligaments stretching to prepare for the birth, I had a lot of sharp pains in the 2 weeks before labour... I put it down to bosy preparation - and all was fine.

  2. I bet you DO want labor to hurry up and come!! My first went to 42 weeks, so I completely know your pain. Literally!

Probably whatever your baby is abusing (:P) is protesting before you actually feel it.

No matter what, the end is in sight... hang in there, your little one will be here soon!

  3. It's normal.  Your pelvis is stretching out.  The muscles and ligaments are about stretched to their max.  It'll be over soon.  Just try to rest as much as you can - sleep will be at a premium once the baby is born.

  4. my advice to you is to since youre over 40 weeks is to walk around alot and even to have s*x which i know you may not want to do but they say its a natural way to start labor...but i know the longer it takes for your labor to start the more pain youll be in....but i say try the natural way to start labor before you try inducing but after 40 weeks i think its ok to induce

  5. I had that with my son... i was over due and it hurt... would come and go... but I would think that you should ask your doctor about maybe inducing you. It could be causing pain because the baby is ready to come out just needs a lil help... Good luck and congrats

  6. this is the baby putting preasure on your cervix to help dialate you. it does get worse as you go into labor. good luck and congrats
