  1. no because there are ways for delaying the release date of a suspect with out have a law that could effect innocent people as for id cards they are silly i mean we have a birth certificate, drivers license national insurance no, doctors have all our detailed so no i think it will be a waist of ,money

  2. All animals are equal but some are more equal than others.

  3. Yes I agree, it is for our security don't forget that. It's not some funny afterthought of a backbencher.

  4. Well!I must nail my colours to the mast!I believe in a DNA data bank!I also believe in the42 day detention legislation! Finally I also believe in Identity Cards!I have my Identity Card which I was issued with during World War IIWhy!I have nothing to hide!In answer to the question!Yes!I agree!!

  5. Then Tony Blair, Gordon Brown, and all those other war criminals in the government should be detained for questioning, pending a trial.

After all, they have persued policies of mass murder.  Oh, and I don't give a f*****k what the naysayers think.

  6. As for I:D cards I strongly follow others and agree they are a complete waste of time and money. O.K. lets say they do issue them, I doubt if they will be something you just keep in a bottom drawer or something, when will they start next as to dictating when they have to be produced, will we end up like all those old wartime films where you see the police and soldiers asking everyone for their identity papers?

As for the 42 day detention period, I am all in favour for it, I doubt if it will allow anyone to be detained for 42 days just because his name is 'AL'. As long as there are strict guidelines as to when the police can apply to the high courts  with strong proven evidence as to why they should hold the person without charge for this period,  then go ahead they have my full backing.

Does anyone else agree with me?

  7. In the past we have criticised other countries for detention without trial, now we want to do it. Seems kind of hypocritical.

  8. I agree with 42 days. I am italian and italians has an ID card but I don't' think it's make any difference...

  9. NO ID cards they will be a complete waste of taxpayers money, billions, and will be as useless and as dead as the DODO.  42 days, not sure, the government brought it in anyway, even though they had lots of opposition.
