This article compares myths and realities about women and this one statistic really caught my eye. What are your thoughts?

  1. So we can expect to hear an end to the complaining about the "wage gap" then?

      ; )

  2. its okay for women to earn as long as its helpful to their family,

  3. I want my girl to make something in the same ballpark as me. I'd hate to feel like I'm pulling all the financial weight. With that aside, whether she made more or less than me would be irrelevant (she could make more than me prostituting or running some hot dog stand, that wouldn't make her any more appealing to me). I'd be more interested in what she does for a living because it will tell me something about her personality. For instance, she could be an MD that saves lives, an attorney that helps enforce environmental law, or a vet that helps treat animals in shelters. Jobs like that would attract me to a girl immediately. I know I'm going to make a respectable amount of money and I know my job will make a positive impact on society. I want my partner to do the same.

  4. I did till I met my 3rd!!!

  5. This kind of hurts the whole pay gap argument.

    One thing caught my attention:

Male and female infants actually respond equally

NO MALE SUPERIORITY AT SPATIALITY AND MATHMATEICS AT EARLY AGE

Female infants have superior understanding of mechanical reasoning: but never ever ever ever discussed in the headlines

She says there's nothing to really back up one thing, then states another "fact" and has no data to back that up either.  Really?  Something's a little suspicious about that.  Anyway, I always thought it was supposed to be a little later in life that boys were supposed to be better at those things, not at an "early age."

That lowers the credibility of the article in my opinion.  Don't crticize others for not doing something and then not do it yourself.

Having said that, much of the rest of the article looks like it might have some truth to it.  I question the divorce stat though.  My own personal experience around others whose parents divorced tells me that kids whose parents divorce do often go through some kind of trauma.  Many kids of divorced parents I know showed some pretty visible changes after the divorce as compared to before it.

Come to think of it, she didn't really show any evidence for several things on there.  She just said something, claimed a study somewhere backs it up, and left it at that.  Isn't that what she started complaining about at the beginning of the article?

  6. My wife makes more than me. I don't know why guys have issues about it. I've got no problems having a sugar momma.

  7. women earning more..i think that's a good thing.

    -do they spend more too?

  8. I am a divorce attorney, and what is APPALLING to me is how far BACK divorce litigation seems to set women.

    Let me explain:

I have seen highly educated, high earning women get on the stand and pretend to be "helpless" or "ignorant" about finances because they believe that will get them the kids ro more child support or alimony or maintenance.  It is really disgusting to see these women - who SHOULD BE justifiably proud of their accomplishments - literally prostitute themselves and their worth just because they believe it will get them 10% more of the marital estate or 1 more night with the kids.

  9. I hope my future wife earns lots of money! Save me the trouble!

  10. Yup and I'm one of them.

  11. If my wife could make more than I presently do, I'd be happy as h**l. Staying at home wouldn't bother me a bit....

  12. glad to hear I'm not alone....though I was going crazy.

Funny thing...my grandmother was a Realtor in TX back in the 60-80's.  My grandfather, a good guy but sexist traditional type....hated her making more money then him.  So she would bring "home" the same amount that he did and would invest the rest.   To say the least....they are doing well now.

My darling men...below me.  Your thinking in box's...they all relate and intertwine.

A women with out a college degree is doomed to work retire/ secretary stuff( wage gap)....More women in college then men....more women making more then husbands.

  13. Whose taking care of the kids?

  14. Sourced as "Scottish study" lol!

Oh my! It's on the internet so it must be true!

    eoghan makes a good point.

Why then, if this is true, do women complain about wage gaps?

    Make up your minds please.

  15. Hey if it goes above 50% that would be feminazirific!!
