Question:

42 or 47 inch gaming hdtv?

I'm looking for a good 42 - 47 inch hdtv for my new apartment primarily for gaming (xbox360 and wii). Should I get an LCD or Plasma screen tv? I'm concerned about glare, and I don't want any of that "hdtv lag" that some tvs have with guitar hero or amplitude. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  1. I have a LG 42LC46 which i 42" TV and that is great with the Wii

Curry's have a deal on it too now that I have already bought one!!

    That figures

  2. Ghosting images are not caused by a slow refresh rate , they are a cause of too much signal strength being received at the TV set.

Picture lag is the direct result of a slow refresh rate.

Go with a LCD screen  as Plasma screens can suffer from burn-in.

You should buy a Sony Bravia XBR or a Samsung HDTV that is 1080p with 120Hz refresh rate which should eliminate any lag problems you are concerned about.

My suggestion would be a Sony XBR6 or a Samsung.

My advice is to stay away from the LG brand as they are not to reliable for a top end TV.

    Hope this helps you out

  3. LCD is your best bet.

  4. Sony Bravia 1080p 47inch
