  1. Yes, you can use a wireless transmitter / receiver system.  Many companies make them.


  2. There will still be wiring required to connect to the back of the TV and it will be hard to transmit streaming HD quality video over a WiFi network.   However,  Panasonic will be introducing a new technology to some of there upcoming Plasmas called WirelessHD.   This will allow for wireless connectivity from a BluRay Player, Camcorder, Camera, etc. to the TV in full HD quality over a high frequency transmission that can bounce around obstructions in the signal.   I saw this demonstrated at CES and it will definately save lots of time for installers or the average consumer.

  3. The only thing wireless on the tv is the remote....any video source must be connected to the tv unless you have some sort of special wireless video streaming device with a receiver that can plug via HDMI to your tv.

  4. Even with the wireless receiver, you will still have to get behind the TV to connect the wires from the receiver to the TV.
