44C going to Camp Parks?

Question

Since I am prior service I thought I would enjoy going to relaxing Jackson for AIT however they are sending me to Camp Parks anyone have any experience over there? TY

Camp Parks, it's very boring over there. It's in the city of Pleasanton which is a higher income city with lots of things to do in your off time if you are given any. The base itself is basically open space for field exercises and such. There is an IMAX theater nearby if that makes you feel any better. Best of luck.

Actually Camp Parks is in Dublin and its about 45 minutes -hour away from San Francisco. You can hop on the BART and ride out there. I went there for 42A school. Its very relaxed and we played volleyball a lot. Yes Dublin is a high income area but if you go a few minutes down the I 580 it takes you to Hayward/San Leandro/Oakland which is an Urban area. So there is a lot you can do. The base itself is not so big.
